Het voormalige V&D-complex tussen de Kalverstraat en het Rokin in Amsterdam is verbouwd tot kantoor- en winkelgebouw. Het pand dat dateert uit 1912 is getransformeerd tot een hoogwaardig duurzaam en leefbaar gebouw maar met behoud van het eigen karakter. Een groot deel van het pand is kantoorruimte; alleen de begane grond en de kelder zijn winkelruimte gebleven.
Voor de 2e t/m 5e verdieping hebben wij de Meinertz Ribbenbuizen mogen leveren, type LKK in de kleur RAL 7016. De aanlevering daarvan was trouwens nog een hele klus. De Kalverstraat werd afgezet en de Ribbenbuizen werden per kraan uit een vrachtwagen getakeld.
De Meinertz Ribbenbuizen kenmerken zich door hun industriële vormgeving en kunnen zowel op de begane grond als ook op hoogte langs de gevel gemonteerd worden. Het gebouw bevat veel glasdelen waardoor er risico bestaat op koudeval. De ribbenbuizen zijn hiervoor dé perfecte oplossing. Thermos Installaties Utrecht BV (onderdeel Van Losser Installatiegroep) heeft zorg gedragen voor de installatie daarvan.
